- Taylor Swift Instagrammed her dress for the Time 100 gala—a flowy pastel pink and yellow gown by J. Mendel.
- The princess-like number has fans reminiscing of other iconic gowns Swift has worn, such as in the "Love Story" music video and on the cover of her Speak Now album.
Taylor Swift is channeling her inner princess for the Time 100 gala tonight. The musician shared a photo of herself in a billowy pastel pink gown by J. Mendel this evening before heading out to the annual award ceremony, where she's expected to perform, along with singer Khalid.
According to Swift's stylist Joseph Cassell, the singer is wearing shoes by Chloe Gosselin and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. Her hair, kept in a romantic updo with delicate braids, was done by Jemma Muradian and her fresh-faced beauty look is courtesy of makeup artist Lorrie Turk.
The frock doesn't seem to be available online, but there's a similar strapless version at Bergdorf Goodman.
Swift's baby pink and yellow gown fits in perfectly with her new pastel aesthetic, as told by the occasional Instagram photos she's been posting for the past few months. Eagle-eyed fans speculated that the new color scheme hinted at a new project, and surely enough, Swift announced something big is coming on April 26 (this Friday). Is it an album? A new single? We don't know what it is exactly just yet.
Fans on Twitter also pointed out that her princess-like J. Mendel dress is highly reminiscent of other flowy gown moments in Swift's career, like her Speak Now album cover or her "Love Story" music video.
Swift is one of the 100 honorees in Time magazine's annual most influential people awards. Her tribute in the magazine was written by fellow pop star Shawn Mendes, who wrote, "Taylor makes the job of creating music for millions of people look easy. It all comes from her—her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible. She’s the master of putting the perfect amount of thought into not overthinking, and that’s why her music connects so well."
